The new printer has been installed and configured so hopefully there will not be any more issues.
On the scanning station, when a patron logs in and Image Capture attempts to load it opens a window claiming that it wants to change printer settings and asks for a username and password. For now just tell patrons to click “cancel” and the program will load as it should and work without issue. I have put in a ticket to CTS concerning this.
The printer was replaced by CTS. However, the fuser on this printer is repeatedly causing paper jams. I have put in a ticket with CTS concerning this
The fuzer in student use B&W printer CRBSTD-2 (The printer on the far right of the 3) has a bad fuzer. There is a ticket in to CTS for a new fuzer that should be here this afternoon or tomorrow. The banging resulting from the defective fuzer is becoming unbearably loud and it is also causing repeated paper jams. I have changed the settings in the print queue to reject jobs for this printer, turned it off and placed an out of order sign on it until the new fuzer is installed.
The network issues that were affecting printing seem to have been resolved.
The ongoing network issues that CTS is working on have been causing problems with the student use printers. The issue we had previously with jobs stauling in the queue and having to be paused and resumed is happening frequently on both printers. The queue will need to be monitored more closely
