Nate at CTS is working on pinpointing the issue. He will consult with Romeyn later this afternoon and will hopefully have an answer for us soon. For now that is all the information there is.
Email and Sogo Calendar are currently down, CTS is working on it. No ETA when it will be back up
All 3 of the print only stations are displaying error messages before they reach the dual boot screen. A ticket is in with CTS and out of Order signs are on all 3
CTS replaced the print only stations this morning with newer iMacs and increased the RAM. They now have more RAM than the general student use computers in the Library to help with the constant logging in and out. The has greatly improved the log in time for the Windows OS. (Mac is still faster)
Users that log in to Windows cannot initially change the volume level by clicking the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the task bar. Here is the answer/not easy fix from CTS but for now it is what we have to work with: click Start, type “sound” (without quotes), and click the Sound app that appears under the heading “Control Panel” Double-click the default sound device (the one with the green checkmark bubble) Click the Levels tab you can change the volume. Not the best way to do it, but its our only choice at this point until we get our newest Windows image rolled out.”
The lab map is up and running. You can view it by going to http://labstats.potsdam.edu/LabStats. Under “Published lab maps” click on the “Map” selection for the Floor you wish to view. Machines that are in use will either be Red or Grey. Red signifies in use and logged into the Mac OS, Grey signifies either turned off or In Use and logged into the Windows OS (We have not been able to fix that color glitch yet). Machines that are available will be Green.
The computers in the basement have been relocated to the first and second floor. 1st floor: There are now 2 more computers in the Research Center, one on each end of the new refpod furniture, one outside of each basement door 2nd floor: 3 more along the wall outside of room 218, 1 outside of room 204, 1 outside of room 208, and one against the pillar to the left of the stairs that had previously been cordoned off with caution tape
The print only station has been re-imaged and is now up and running
Print only station #3 located directly under the digital sign, froze several times today. Nate is re-imaging it so there is an out of order sign on it. Once it has finished re-imaging and is back to the dual boot screen the sign can be removed
The defective keyboard on the workstation on the second floor next to the lockers has been replaced and is now functioning
