Campus email/calendar client update

Message from Kyle Brown, CTS CIO I am happy to report that months of preparation are complete, a vendor has been selected, and the paperwork has been signed for our most visible upgrade to-date: upgrade of our current email and calendaring platforms (BearMail and SOGo). I am extremely pleased to announce that we will deploy Microsoft Office 365 for Education as our new email and calendaring platform. We intend to have this service live by August 1, 2016. Office 365 is cloud-based platform provided at no charge to higher education clients. In addition to the email and calendaring component (Microsoft Exchange), the platform includes a suite of productivity software, personal cloud storage, web conferencing tools, and online collaboration spaces. Office 365 is the email platform for all New York State government agencies as well as a significant portion of the SUNY campuses.
